Welcome to my studioMy art is inspired by the design work of the past. I am fascinated with historical ornamentation including
medieval illumination and architectural elements. I am greatly influenced by our ancestors' desire to embellish and decorate common objects in order to beautify and adorn personal spaces and belongings. I may design a piece of work around carvings on a building or headstone or the patterning in an old wrought iron fence. Everyday objects in our life transpire into wonderful works of art to treasure for the ages to come. I enjoy working between collage and folk art styles reminicent of my ancestry.
